Welcome to the Smidt Tech High School, the pride of Lincoln Heights.

For the past 10 years, we have been educating the future tech leaders of Los Angeles.

We have served thousands of students, and nearly one thousand have graduated with a high school diploma. Last year, 84% of the graduating class of 2022 was accepted into a 4-year college or university.

We have been recognized as one the Best High Schools in America by the US News and World Report for the past 5 consecutive years, for being one of the top 20% best schools in the nation. Our school is a top school leading the way for educational equity across Los Angeles County.

Our mission is not just to make sure students graduate but also to develop lifelong learners who communicate effectively, use innovative methods to enhance learning, and responsibly contribute to their community.

We provide a well-rounded education to our scholars by offering all of the academic courses required to graduate as well as college-credit classes such as robotics and engineering.

Our school also offers extracurricular activities including CIF Athletics, digital arts, filmmaking  and business, in addition to elective courses that prepare them with the skills for real life, and opportunities to join clubs like Esports (video games) anime and environmental clubs where they can meet and interact with other students.

I emigrated to this country from Mexico as a child because my parents wanted me to have the best education possible and have a better life. Thanks to my teachers and school administrators I became the first in my family to attend college and graduate with a bachelor's and later a master’s degree. I am grateful for those opportunities I had in high school and that’s exactly what I want for your children, and my own.

I am proud to share that my son is currently a Smidt Tech student. I enrolled my son because I believe our school has the best teachers, counselors and a caring school staff.
