About Us
Alliance Susan & Eric Smidt Tech High School supports all learners, and embraces scholars with disabilities. Our goal is to graduate our students with disabilities with the tools necessary to continue advocating for their own needs. We believe in an inclusive environment where all learners have access to rigorous, grade-level content in a safe environment that meets their individualized needs. We aim to ensure that scholars at Smidt Tech feel seen, heard, supported, and empowered. We strive to create equity for students with disabilities by accommodating their needs and celebrating their strengths in an inclusive and diverse community.
Smidt Tech’s special education program is comprehensive and commits resources to support our scholars' diverse needs. The Special Education Team is composed of a Special Education Coordinator, School Psychologist, Resource Specialist Teachers, and Instructional Aides. Other related services such as Speech & Language, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, Occupational Therapy and Adapted Physical Education are provided in partnership with outside agencies.
