1. The first time technology causes a distraction or disruption, the teacher will request that the
student put the technology away and out of sight.
2. The second time technology causes a distraction or disruption, the technology will be
removed from the classroom by an administrator.
3. If an administrator is unavailable, then the student can be sent to the reflection room for an
opportunity to consider the disruption in learning their technology is causing.
4. The third time technology causes a distraction or disruption, the technology will need to be
checked into the front office at the beginning of the day to ensure that the student can
re-engage with learning.
5. Students who have a tech/cell phone infraction will not be allowed to participate in off campus
lunches, attend field trips, attend off campus field day, participate in “fun room” during BitP days,
attend fall nor spring positive paws field trips, etc.
